Akatombo, thats the winner for me!! (Mention of your name leads me to recall a Wire interview on Radio 3's late lamented 'Mixing It' where Colin played one of your tracks, and if I'm not mistaken Bruce Gilbert played a 'field recording' of a boiling kettle...)
I have the say all the other members Book Title suggestions are better than the actual title 'The Lowdown' (the Lowdown on Wire..geddit?) which is the laziest, lamest idea for a Wire book title as could possibly be. I recall seeing Kevin Edens book in the shops and being intrigued by the title which I didn't get till many years later when I finally got sufficiently into Wire to listen to Manscape.
So we shall see whether it comes out. Certainly, despite the financial quagmire Joe Public still seems to have a thirst for the printed word...I visited two branches of Waterstones today both of which resembled the aftermath of a particularly well attended jumble sale, and long queues...and the Music biog section had taken a hammering!
That was the excellent "Overheat" from the "Trace Elements" album, which totally won me over to Akatombo. I had to add it to my order for Send.

Manscape ? A Bell Is A Cup... the title is derived from the Come Back In Two Halves...
Before this becomes some sort of love fest I'll add that I bought a copy of Trace Elements for my mate's birthday and he wasn't that keen, though as I once did a Wire compilation cassette for him and he didn't like that either, I guess you are in good company, Akatombo! ; )
On a more serious note, I thought it was a really good album. Must dig it out and give it a listen.
........... Emm, to the above; thank-you. Considering I`ve been through a hit-and-run, meningitis & some other sundry `delights` in the past wee while, it`s nice to be back & almost `there` again. New album is out in early Spring `09. I`ll be 46 on New Year`s Day - a cave in the hills awaits; until it`s all done & dusted. "Lang may yer` lums reek" indeed. NOW!! - back to being austere, grave & cerebral.
