Not sure if you guys are familiar with Robert Pollard (of Guided By Voices fame) and his newish project Boston Spaceships, but Colin will be guesting on their upcoming album Let It Beard due in May:

nother Boston Spaceships release called Let It Beard comes out in May on GBV Inc.; the 26-track double LP features guitar guest shots from J. Mascis, Wire's Colin Newman, the Dirtbombs' Mick Collins, King Missile's Dave Rick, and the Dream Syndicate's Steve Wynn.
flicking at last months Mojo i see this is finally out. does anyone know what Colin has contributed and what it's like?
he's contributed guitar as far as i know. i've listened to it once (digital version, so no credits i could read) and couldn't really tell on which track(s). if i should guess i'd probably say maybe on the track "Earmarked for Collision" or on "You Just Can't Tell", but really hard to tell. with J. Mascis it was a lot easier since his solo Dinosaur Jr.-style is quite easily recognized.
Colin plays guitar on "You Just Can't Tell", you can hear his guitar kick in at about the one minute mark into the song. Bob is a pretty big Wire fan and this song is certainly a homage to the kind of attitude you hear on early Wire recordings.
    Odd, but interesting.
