Wire have a Q&A section in the months "Record Collector" (Febuary) Both Colin & Graham contributing.
I wrote to Alan Lewis (Editor) a while back suggesting doing a piece on Wire as it was 1987 since they had any
decent exposure in the Magazine. Hopefully they might do an article on the solo careers of the band in the future.

    thanks, is the article online?

with Wire's baffling discography, there'd be an awful lot to talk about!
I don,t believe it is. Although once the Magazine updates it from last months issue on their website, it may become available.
A very laid back interview with Graham & Colin informing us of records, record shops & gigs that are their faves & Grahams fave football team amongst other things.

graham follows football?!? What's his preferred term for "club"? As in, song = piece, lyrics = text... team = ?
I'm guessing his favourite football team is Upsalla FC.
    Newcastle ?
When asked what his worst habit is, Graham replied it was supporting the Toon. Which means Newcastle Ud.
sure, Graham follows football. i'd expect him to like among other teams fc barcelona. i remember he dedicated last year's gig at the primavera sound festival to fc barcelona and in particular to messi, before starting the first song. and then after the concert he spoke for the first five minutes of the interview on wfmu about football and again about messi.
    Graham lost all his belongings?
Without going into too much detail. When Graham moved to Sweden he put most of his possesions into storage. These were then moved to a friends rented house and put in the basement. The friend did a flit and never told Graham and so they were all skipped by the landlord. Sad but true.
    Bloody hell : (

    thanks for the scan, R!

stunning what passes for journalism nowadays--just paste in a set of e-mail replies. Among other miscommunications, clearly Colin met Pink Flag, the label, has an archive, but they've promoted it as if he meant Pink Flag, the album.

come to think of it, that is pretty confusing, though...
