This one was at the end of my compilation CD, and could be originally recorded from BBC 6 Music, but if you're not bothered about the 1x lossy version (available for nothing), please free yourself :-

but expanded to FLAC (so possibly wasting space - but, as i said before. on the other hand, is there any evidence that anyone has this available in the original mp2 format?)

    Tracklisting :-

    01 - Lowdown
02 - The Agfers Of Kodack
    03 - Germ Ship

    Thank you.
A wonderful session, I love the version of Lowdown. Germ Ship sounds unhinged.
These sessions would make a great legal bootleg with the Peel session from the same period.

Many thanks ! I hadn't heard these versions before.

thanks for sharing all of these Wire recordings, very much looking forward to hearing the "unhinged" Germ Ship ;-)

Could not post again until today because I lost my forum password after an operating system glitch, but now I'm back I can now confirm that this non-live BBC 6 Music session was recorded separately from the "BBC 6 Music live session (on Tom Robinson's show) April 2002" (see that forum post for more details), and the recording of it was broadcast on Tom Robinson's show at a later date (probably early May 2002).

And I agree with Stevie P that the non-lossy original tapes of these 2002 BBC sessions/broadcasts (plus the John Peel one) would make a very nice 40-50 minute official compilation CD.

BTW, please check my recent comment on the "Barfly - quick report" thread if you'd like a copy of the XFM webcast of what's been broadcast so far (about half an hour) of that gig
