    Is there any possibility of Wire releasing a BBC sessions album? The final Peel session was outstanding, the Tom Robinson session was pretty good, and of all of the Marc Riley sessions, the last one was brilliant. There is a double album of material here worthy of release...

    As I understand it, that'd be down to the BBC more than Wire, and the BBC's a kind of monolithic corporation for an indie to try to deal with.

    Wire, should they, wish could license the tracks from the BBC to make this happen.
    The going rate when WMO was active was £500 per session, plus a royalty percentage on sales. No doubt the fees have increased since then. You do the math involved in licensing a complete set of Beeb sessions.
