    Message from Matt:

    hope this finds you well

i have my first solo record out this week.

although as ever its not the most obvious place to begin as the first solo release for a guitar playing song writer!

this time it's all played on my beloved old farfisa organ through many delays, tremolo's and loop pedals, improvised over a couple afternoon's last summer and it's now two continuous sides of 10" vinyl, around 28 minutes long,

it's released by Deep Distance, a fantastic label from London inspired by the early 70's private press world of cosmic german bands like Cluster and i feel its the perfect home for this recording.

it's not it hugs back but if your into the dreamier side of what we do you might well find something for you inside it....

    you can listen here:

and buy a copy there also or via the it hugs back shop here:

    thanks for reading & listening,

Reminiscent of the second Immersion album in my opinion.
Wow! This is quite beautiful. Definitely picking up a physical copy of this.
Like. I ordered mine today. The band camp and the it hugs back sites also have the best price. it costs 7.99 at Norman or Rough Trade.
Matt has put a free download of his most recent SLOWS music on bandcamp:

Some more interesting news from Matt below:

....playing gtr on a song from the new album of my favourite ever songwriters, bill fay
....the chastity album time to go home which i had the pleasure of mixing
....playing a few gigs with a new free improvising band called Cup

with no ihb christmas e,p with year i can point you in the direction of some free Slows music, put together in the back of the van while driving around Europe on tour with Wire in November, hope you enjoy it...

a few things for next year...

we're currently in the middle of recording a 5th IHB album and amazingly approach our 10th birthday in september 2016 which we plan to commemorate somehow!

    colleen - captain of none
    helen - the original faces
    floating points - elaenia

"also in january 2016 i'll be playing cafe oto with another new project, YOU, who are releasing an album on Mego later in the year"

also featuring Graham, Thighpaulsandra and Valentina from Tomaga & Orlando
Heard both EPs for the first time yesterday. Beautiful stuff.
Here's a brand new Slows track - "Auto No. 1"
Matt has a new Slows LP available to buy from 07/10/2016 on download £5, or vinyl £8.99 (Pressing of 300 only)

    Repetitive, Cosmic and minimal!
Matt has a new SLOWS LP landing soon according to the Deep Distance Facebook page

The artwork looks good and as usual it's limited to 300 on vinyl.

If it's anything like the last release it should be another winner
