although as ever its not the most obvious place to begin as the first solo release for a guitar playing song writer!
this time it's all played on my beloved old farfisa organ through many delays, tremolo's and loop pedals, improvised over a couple afternoon's last summer and it's now two continuous sides of 10" vinyl, around 28 minutes long,
it's released by Deep Distance, a fantastic label from London inspired by the early 70's private press world of cosmic german bands like Cluster and i feel its the perfect home for this recording.
it's not it hugs back but if your into the dreamier side of what we do you might well find something for you inside it....

here's a few good musical memories from a lovely year...
...the 4th ihb album slow wave ...slows, my solo project, finally i finished something and there was an e.p in february ... the latest wire album, the 2nd studio album i've done with them... (and Jeff Tweedy joining us onstage in chicago) ....playing gtr on a song from the new album of my favourite ever songwriters, bill fay ....the chastity album time to go home which i had the pleasure of mixing ....playing a few gigs with a new free improvising band called Cup
with no ihb christmas e,p with year i can point you in the direction of some free Slows music, put together in the back of the van while driving around Europe on tour with Wire in November, hope you enjoy it...
a few things for next year...
we're currently in the middle of recording a 5th IHB album and amazingly approach our 10th birthday in september 2016 which we plan to commemorate somehow!
there's a new slows e.p nearly finished and ready for release with a few gigs
also in january 2016 i'll be playing cafe oto with another new project, YOU, who are releasing an album on Mego later in the year
