    Hi everyone,

Just saw Wire live @ Neumos in Seattle on the 27th, and felt the need to reach out to you good folks.

    So - what's new? (^_^)

Wire were great BTW - I'll try to post a pic or two shortly.

    Cheers,
    Paul

Saw them in Portland! It was amazing and I'm lucky to have been able to catch them up in the NW.

I tried getting a physical setlist, but I couldn't find any. Colin might be using his iPad for that now. I did record a snippet of each song for identification later - haven't had time to listen to it though.

I talked to Matthew afterwards, and he indicated they had played all of the new album, so that setlist above looks pretty representative. Since I hadn't heard or purchased the new album yet, it was a different kind of concert experience. You had to trust in Wire and go for the journey, rather than kick back and expect the hits, if you know what I mean.

I wasn't disappointed in the least. That being said - you could kind of tell that due to the live performance constraints - a couple of the new songs were going to be amazing on the album. In Manchester came to mind - a great live performance to be sure - but this was going to be a monster recording on disc. (Which it is!)

    Cheers,
    Paul
