    Thanks for this. Excellent pics!
Couldn't make it to opening night (Thurs) but did get to see the Fri show in Brooklyn at a really small club called Baby's All Right. It was like seeing Wire play in your living room. I brought a friend from Florida who is more into Bowie and 80's new wave and had never heard of WIRE. Surprise. A petite but aggressive blond she pushed her way to the front of the stage. Suffice to say WIRE has a new convert. The music totally blew her away from start to finish. WIRE, in typical fashion, cranked out a set of brutalist pop like only they can. The Silver/ Lead stuff sounded great and not formulaic as I've read elsewhere. Given their catalog not sure this setlist was the best one could come up with but that's a matter of preference I suppose. I quite liked the inclusion of the 2 songs from the Ideal Copy. They closed the set with a crushing 8 minute version of Over Theirs. They changed the encore for this show substituting Boiling Boy and Blessed State for Silver/ Lead and Used To which I think they played for all the other US shows.

Very surprised, given it's the 40 anniversary, that they didn't play a larger more prominent venue in Manhattan. Unless it's a contractual thing? Not sure how hey make any money playing these small clubs. As mentioned in another post I haven't seen
any promo material or even reviews on line for the US tour. Merch table had a lot of vinyl most of which seemed to go begging. Very young crowd of Brooklyn hipsters didn't appear to be buying anything. In any event another fantastic performance by WIRE !

BV pics from the Fri show:
Pics 26 & 28 on Freakbag's link; you still wouldn't mess with Lewis would you! If he says it's Tuesday, it's Tuesday.
I'm amazed. I didn't realise was that Demis Roussos was still around - see picture 7. (Apologies to whoever it is, it just made me chuckle.)

    Great photos incidentally.
