The completed People In A Film will probably include a clip of the entire performance. That's current thinking.

Has anyone actually played this thing? Delighted it exists, but can't imagine it's a toe-tapper to listen to.

The review in the latest Long Live Vinyl states most tracks are just background noise rather than actual composed musical pieces, while Fad Gadget's track is 4'33" of actual silence in tribute to their lost leader Frank Tovey.

Not released til October 4th. Hats off to Mute for not doing the obvious thing and chucking out a Mute best of box set or something obvious like that. Wire are heavily represented according to the website - with solo contributions from Bruce, Graham (as He Said), Bruce, Graham and Daniel Miller as Duet Emmo as well as Wire busking in the subway. A.C Marias have a contribution also. Not sure I can justify the cost/space for a 220 quid deluxe vinyl version but happy to part with 30 quid for the CD Box set - btw profits go to the British Tinnitus Association and Music Minds Matter. I'm kind of intrigued to hear whatever can be heard on the discs. I wonder if Depeche Mode's consists of Andy Fletcher's contributions to the last few albums...

Nice packaging and inlay booklet. Conclusive proof that you can take your Wire related collection too far. I’m not sure what exactly I expected but it wasn’t all artists to record background noise.
