FAQ
Q: I just signed up, but I can't post. What gives?
A: This forum requires that your application is approved by an admin. Admins aren't online 24/7, and so your application will be dealt with when an admin next signs in.

Q: How do I start a new discussion?
A: Click the 'Start a new discussion' button at the top-right of the forum bar.

Q: How do I send someone a message?
A: Instead of private messages, this forum uses 'whispers', which enable you to send messages to other users in context. To do this, just put the relevant user's name in the 'whisper' field before submitting your message. It'll appear within the thread, but with a different background colour to standard messages.

Q: How do I style my text?
A: Basic HTML is supported in HTML format mode. If you just want to add a link, you can do this in Text mode: type the URL in full (e.g. http://www.pinkflag.com) and it will automatically be turned into a link.

Q: How do I add a signature to my post?
A: We're not having signatures here - they just disrupt discussion. Sorry.

Q: I asked the band a question here and they didn't respond! Why?
A: Although some members of Wire do visit this board, their time is limited and they may not have seen your communication. If your question is important, try using the site's contact form instead.

If a discussion is sinked, it means that it no longer rises to the top when a new post is made, although the pink colour still shows when there's a new reply. I've just disabled that option for non-mods, because I think that should be our business, rather than done by the general users.

I didn't sink them. I'll revert that in a mo'. Threads should generally only be sinked if they're causing problems. (Big problems lead to a thread getting locked.)
